The "invalid address" error appears when the address you are trying to send to does not belong to the same network as your wallet. For example, this can happen if you're using a Bitcoin wallet and try to send to a Testnet address, or if you try to send to an address from a completely different blockchain.
Address Prefixes
To resolve this error, double-check that the address you're entering matches the network your wallet is using.
- Bitcoin wallet addresses usually start with 1, 3, or bc1.
- Liquid wallet addresses typically begin with Q or VJ (or use confidential formats starting with CTE or ex).
- Testnet wallet addresses usually start with m, 2, or tb1.
If you're unsure which network your wallet is using, check the network setting in the Blockstream App or review how the wallet was originally set up.
