A Blockstream Green wallet can be restored on any of our mobile or desktop apps. Restoring a wallet should be used in the following situations: You would like to access the same wallet on multiple devices You have lost, broke or changed your device You have forgotten your PIN Your PIN has been reset You are upgrading from GreenAddress to Blockstream Green Note: The restore and recovery processes are different. If you have lost access to your 2FA method, you will need to follow guide here instead. Mobile 1. Open Blockstream Green and tap Add Wallet. Read and agree to the Terms of Service, then tap on Restore Wallet. 2. Next, choose the network that you created your wallet on and select the method of entering your recovery phrase. Warning: If you select the wrong network, your wallet will not be found during the restore process. Make sure to select the same option you chose when initially setting up your wallet. 3. Enter your recovery phrase backup. Note: Please review the article here if you receive the "Invalid Recovery Phrase" message. 4. Blockstream Green will then search for a wallet that matches your recovery phrase. Tap the security policy you selected when setting up your wallet, which will display the Wallet found message. Tip: If no wallets are found, you are welcome to select Manual Restore - however it is likely there is an issue with your recovery process. You may review the guide here for further explanation and possible solutions. 5. Enter a new PIN. The PIN you set is specific to this device only and will not work for this wallet on other devices (unless you intentionally set them to be the same). 6. All done! Your wallet should now appear on screen with its current balance. Desktop 1. Open Blockstream Green and click Restore Wallet in the Home view. 2. Select the network of the wallet you are trying to restore. 3. Enter your recovery phrase backup. If you have a different length recovery phrase, you may change change the number of fields by clicking the dropdown menu in the upper right corner. Note: If you have a 27 word recovery phrase from an older version of GreenAddress or Blockstream Green, you will also need to enter your encryption passphrase. This is not the same as the passphrase used with Jade. 4. Blockstream Green will then search for a wallet that matches your recovery phrase. Select Restore on the security policy you selected when setting up your wallet, which will also display the Wallet found message. Tip: If no wallets are found, you are welcome to select Show advanced options which will give you the option to Restore anyway - however it is likely there is an issue with your recovery process. You may review the guide here for further explanation and possible solutions. 5. Enter a new PIN. The PIN you set is specific to this device only and will not work for this wallet on other devices (unless you intentionally set them to be the same). 6. All done! Your wallet should now appear on screen with its current balance. Issues with Your Recovery Phrase Backup?
