Sparrow is a Bitcoin wallet that supports Blockstream Jade and features an emphasis on security, privacy and usability. Sparrow attempts to provide as much detail as possible about your transactions and UTXOs, but in a way that is manageable and usable.
1.
Download Sparrow, then choose to create a New Wallet.
2.
Plug in your Jade and select Connected Hardware Wallet, then click Scan. The default account type that will be generated is Singlesig | Native Segwit, however you may change this under Settings if you have another preference.
Note: If you have previously used Jade as a Singlesig wallet with the Blockstream app and would like to view your transactions in Sparrow, make sure the script type matches the account type that contains your funds in the Blockstream app. You will also need the account index to match as well.
3.
Plug in your Jade and click Scan. You will then be prompted to enter your PIN on Jade.
Tip: Before connecting your Jade, make sure the Blockstream app is not open. If the app is open, this may cause issues with your Jade being detected within Sparrow.
4.
Select Import Keystore to import the public key of the default account, or select the arrow to manually select the derivation path you would like to use.
5.
After your desired key has been imported, click Apply.
6.
You have now successfully set up your wallet and you can begin receiving, storing and spending your bitcoin using Sparrow and Jade.
Note: If you were previously using Jade with the Blockstream app as a Multisig Shield wallet, you should not expect your new Sparrow wallet to show the same balance as these are different wallets. To access your Multisig Shield wallet again, simply connect your Jade back to the Blockstream app.
