The Blockstream app enables you to export Partially Signed Bitcoin Transactions (PSBTs), which may be useful when signing transactions with an offline device (like a Jade Plus).
Before beginning, ensure that you've set up a watch-only account in the Blockstream app for the Jade device that you will be signing transactions with.
Note: This workflow requires a JadeLink, an SD card reader, or other generic USB-C drives for file storage.
Here's how to export a PSBT using the Blockstream app:
- Navigate to the Transact tab, then tap Send.
- Enter the address you will be sending to, then enter the amount to send.
- Tap Sign Transaction via QR, unlock your Jade Plus, then tap Export Transaction.
- Plug JadeLink into your mobile device, then save the transaction file to your JadeLink.
- Unplug JadeLink from your mobile device and plug it into your Jade Plus. Unlock your Jade account that's paired with your watch-only wallet, then navigate to Options → USB Storage → Sign. The transaction details should appear. Verify them, then sign the transaction. This will save the signed PSBT file on JadeLink. Unplug JadeLink from Jade Plus and plug back into your mobile device.
- Tap Next, tap Import from file, then select your signed PSBT file from the JadeLink folder on your mobile device.
Tip: Pay attention to the time and date on your transaction file name to pick the right file. It should correspond with the time you signed the PSBT on Jade Plus and saved to JadeLink.
That's it! You have successfully exported, signed, and broadcast your PSBT.
Tip: Delete transaction files you have already broadcast from your JadeLink to easily find new transaction files in the future.
