The Blockstream app can display the current value of a Bitcoin wallet's balance denominated in a variety of local fiat currencies next to the amount of actual bitcoin held in the wallet, giving you a better idea of how much value you're holding in the Blockstream app. You can also choose different exchanges for the current bitcoin price in the local currency, as well as alternative denominations of bitcoin, such as satoshis, as the default.
Follow these steps to change the local currency used to value your bitcoin in the Blockstream app.
1.
Tap the Settings tab located at the far right of the bottom navigation bar.
2.
Select Denominations & Exchange Rate near the top of the screen.
3.
From the pop-up window, click Reference exchange rate and scroll through the options until you find your fiat currency and source exchange of choice. Then, tap Ok after making your selection.
Note: The Denomination & Exchange Rate pop-up window is also where you can change the default denomination of bitcoin. Every bitcoin can be divided into 100 million satoshis (or sats), so you may prefer to view your balance in smaller denominations.
