Blockstream Jade can be used to provide one-time passwords (OTPs) for any platform that allows 2FA authentication using this method. You can use Jade to generate 2FA codes for your email account, Bitcoin or Liquid exchange, or even a Blockstream Green wallet. Tip: This feature provides similar functionality as authenticator apps, such as Google Authenticator. Setup 1. Log in to your Jade using Blockstream Green and select Settings, then Advanced. Note: This feature requires Blockstream Green version 3.8.7 (mobile) or 1.1.4 (desktop). 2. Next, choose OTP and select to either Scan a New OTP QR or Enter a New OTP URI. 3. Navigate to the platform where you would like to use OTP as your 2FA method. Then, use your Jade to scan the QR code that is displayed when setting up this security feature in your account. Note: In this guide, we set up Jade to be used as a 2FA method in a Blockstream Green Multisig Shield wallet. Keep in mind that if you use the same Jade that stores your recovery phrase to also store your OTP entry, an attacker only needs your PIN to spend your funds. 4. Jade will prompt you to provide a name and confirm the details of this OTP entry. View OTP codes 1. Log in to your Jade using Blockstream Green and select Settings, Advanced, OTP. 2. Select View OTPs and navigate to your desired OTP entry. Then, select Generate to view your 2FA code. 3. Jade will then display your one-time password, which you can use to access the platform that is requesting your 2FA code. For time-based one-time passwords (TOTPs), a progress bar will be displayed which indicates how long you have to enter the code until it changes.
