After setting up your wallet, the keys to your bitcoin are stored solely on your mobile device. This means if you lose or break your phone, you will lose access to your funds unless you’ve backed up your recovery phrase.
"Backing up" simply means writing down your recovery phrase and storing it somewhere safe and offline. Your recovery phrase is the only way to restore your wallet and access your bitcoin if something happens to your device.
Warning: Your recovery phrase is your wallet. Anyone who has it can spend your funds. Never share it and keep it protected from theft, damage, and loss.
