Blockstream Jade can be used in a fully air-gapped workflow, by utilizing the camera to scan QR codes and display them on screen. This communication method does not require a USB or Bluetooth connection and allows Jade to be compatible with additional wallet apps, as well as allowing for possible security improvements.
Pre-Requisites
1.
Create a SeedQR of your recovery phrase.
2.
Export your wallet's xpub to your desired companion app.
Performing Air-Gapped Transactions
1.
Access a QR Mode session with QR PIN Unlock or by scanning a SeedQR.
2.
Navigate to your compatible wallet app and create your transaction by entering the recipient's address and the intended amount to send. Continue to display the QR PSBT.
3.
Select Scan on your Blockstream Jade and point the camera at the QR PSBT. If the QR code is animated, Jade will need to capture every frame that is displayed to continue.
Tip: The progress bar will fill up as you successfully scan new frames. If the progress bar is not updating, change Jade's angle or distance from the QR until you find the optimal placement for scanning. View additional scanning tips here.

Once Jade has successfully read the PSBT, it will display the transaction details on your device for you to review and confirm.
5.
Jade will then display your signed transaction as a series of QR codes. Use your companion app to scan Jade's screen until all frames have been captured.
6.
After your companion app has successfully scanned the signed transaction, simply broadcast it to the network and your bitcoin will be sent.
