In order to send bitcoin with your air-gapped Jade Plus, you will need to create a transaction using a companion app and pass the information to your Jade Plus using JadeLink for authorization (or "signing"). After signing the transaction, Jade Plus will save the signed transaction as a file to JadeLink for your companion app to read so that it can be broadcast to the Bitcoin network.
Note: This guide demonstrates air-gapped use with Sparrow. Please refer to your wallet app's specific instructions if not using this companion app.
Sending Air-gapped JadeLink Transactions
1.
Open your JadeLink-compatible companion app and create a new transaction by entering the recipient's address and the intended amount to send.
2.
Choose to save your unsigned transaction to JadeLink, then eject the drive and connect it to Jade Plus.
3.
Start an air-gapped Jade session and select Options → USB Storage → Sign. Then select the Partially Signed Bitcoin Transaction (PSBT) file you would like to sign.
4.
After confirming on your device that both the address and the amount match what you intended, Jade Plus will sign the transaction and save the file to JadeLink. You can then connect JadeLink to your companion app to load the signed PSBT to broadcast the transaction and finish the sending process.
