In order to send bitcoin using your Jade fully air-gapped, a transaction will need to be crafted using a companion app and the information passed to Jade using QR codes for authorization (or "signing"). Once the transaction is signed, Jade will display this information back as QR codes to be scanned by your companion app so that it can be broadcast to the internet. Note: This guide demonstrates air-gapped use with Nunchuk (mobile). Please refer to your wallet app's specific instructions if not using this companion app. Air-gapped Transactions 1. Open your QR compatible companion app and create a new transaction by entering the recipient's address and the intended amount to send. Choose Sign and select Export transaction via QR. The transaction information (or PSBT) will now be displayed as a series of QR codes. 2. Access an air-gapped Jade session then select Scan QR. Point Jade's camera at the PSBT QR codes until the progress bar is filled. Tip: Lower the QR density on your companion app if you are having trouble reading the QRs. 3. Confirm on Jade that both the address and the amount match what you intended. Select the checkmark when you are ready and the signed transaction will be displayed as QR codes on Jade. Choose Import Signature on your companion app and scan these codes until all have been read, then choose to broadcast the transaction. Tip: Click Options on Jade and lower the density or frame rate settings if your app is having trouble scanning the QRs.
