Jade can communicate with a companion app using USB, Bluetooth, or QR codes. The instructions below will demonstrate connecting Jade with Blockstream Green, however the process will be fairly similar for any Jade-supported companion app.
Tip: Please refer to your wallet app's specific instructions for using a hardware wallet if you are not using Jade with Blockstream Green.
Connect Jade to a Mobile Device

Open Blockstream Green and select Use Hardware Device, then choose Connect Jade.

Blockstream Green will begin searching for your Jade and will show your device after selecting a communication method on Jade or if it is automatically detected via USB.

On Blockstream Jade, select your preferred connection method when prompted to do so after the initial setup process:
- USB: Plug in Jade directly via USB. This option is not available for iOS users.
- Bluetooth: Conveniently pair Jade and Green wirelessly without the need for an additional cable.
- QR: Not currently supported when using Green however this functionality is coming soon.

Select your Jade on Green when it appears and continue by pairing your device.

Follow the instructions to create a 6-digit PIN on Jade. Your PIN will be used to unlock your device upon each session. If you forget it or enter it wrong 3 times, you will need to restore your wallet using your recovery phrase.

After PIN creation the setup process is complete, simply choose your preferred account type to continue. Remember that your companion app is used to generate addresses and broadcast your transactions to the internet, your recovery phrase stored on Jade is what is considered your wallet (for example, you may connect Jade to other companion apps and you will see the same funds appear).

After logging out, your Jade will now be shown in the Green wallet view. To log back in, select your device from the list and enter your PIN when prompted.
