Sparrow is a Bitcoin wallet that supports Blockstream Jade and features an emphasis on security, privacy and usability. Sparrow attempts to provide as much detail as possible about your transactions and UTXOs, but in a way that is manageable and usable.
Pre-requisites
1.
Initialize your Blockstream Jade.
2.
Review Sparrow's documentation to further understand the platform. Do not proceed without understanding how Sparrow works.
Desktop
1.
Download Sparrow using the link provided here.
2.
Click Next to follow the setup guide to learn about the different connection options.
3.
Choose your desired server then select Create New Wallet.
4.
Enter a name for your wallet and click Create Wallet.
5.
Choose your desired policy and script types then select Connected Hardware Wallet.
Note: If you have previously used Blockstream Jade as a Singlesig wallet with Blockstream Green and would like to view your transactions in Sparrow, make sure the script type matches the account type that contains your funds in Green. You will also need the derivation path to match as well.
6.
Plug in your Blockstream Jade and click Scan. You will then be prompted to enter your PIN on Jade.
Tip: Before connecting your Jade, make sure the Blockstream Green app is not open. If Green is open, this may cause issues with your Jade being detected within Sparrow.
7.
Select Import Keystore to import the public key of the default account, or select the arrow to manually select the derivation path you would like to use.
8.
After your desired key has been imported, click Apply.
9.
You have now successfully set up your wallet and you can begin receiving, storing and spending your bitcoin using Sparrow and Blockstream Jade.
Note: If you were previously using Jade with Blockstream Green as a Multisig Shield wallet, you should not expect your new Sparrow wallet to show the same balance - these are different wallets. To access your Multisig Shield wallet again, simply connect your Jade back to Blockstream Green.
