If you are using Multisig Shield wallet and lose access to your 2FA methods, you can request a 2FA reset. After a reset has been requested, you will need to wait a minimum of 12 months for the process to be completed (details below). The waiting period is necessary to ensure the security of your wallet. Bitcoin standard accounts (2-of-2) The exact formula for the 2FA reset waiting period is whichever of these two is longer: 365 days after the reset is triggered, or 365 days plus your nLockTime period after your wallet’s last transaction For example: If you have your nLockTime period set to 90 days, and your last transaction was 100 days ago, then the waiting period will be 365 days. If you have your nLockTime period set to 90 days, and you sent a transaction 50 days ago, then the waiting period will be 405 days (365 days + 40 days left on your nLocktime). Liquid standard accounts (2-of-2) The waiting period is exactly 365 days after the reset is triggered. Bitcoin 2-of-3 accounts The waiting period is exactly 365 days after the reset is triggered.
