Liquid Bitcoin (LBTC) are transferred to the Liquid sidechain from the Bitcoin mainchain through a process known as a peg-in (also known as bridging). Most users will prefer to acquire their LBTC from a third party that handles the peg-ins or swaps for them, but you can also perform peg-ins yourself using a Liquid node.
Warning: Do not acquire LBTC without having a way to convert back to BTC. LBTC peg-outs can only be performed via a Liquid member, but there are many options available.

Buy LBTC With Fiat
Borrow LBTC Against BTC
Swap Lightning Bitcoin to LBTC
Acquire LBTC via Peg-In
To process a peg-in yourself, follow our peg-in guide. You will need both a Bitcoin full node and a Liquid node to securely complete the process.
