The Blockstream Mining Note (BMN) is a Liquid asset that provides qualified investors with access to Bitcoin hashrate at our enterprise-grade facilities. 1.00 BMN token entitles the holder to bitcoin mined by up to 2,000 TH/s of hashrate.
Note: BMN tokens are transferable between qualified investors' wallets in denominations down to 0.01 BMN.
Set up a Liquid wallet
In order to store the BMN, you will need to set up a Liquid wallet with an AMP account.
1.
Download Blockstream Green and create a Liquid wallet, if you do not have one already.
2.
Add an AMP account to your wallet and record your AMP ID.
Whitelist your AMP ID
The BMN is a Transfer-Restricted Asset, which means you will need to whitelist your AMP ID with the registration agent (STOKR) to receive BMN to your wallet. If you will be signing up with Bitfinex Securities or MERJ Exchange, you will likely be providing your AMP ID during registration. In this case, you are free to skip this step as they will share your information with STOKR directly.
1.
Visit STOKR to register and set up your account.
2.
Once signed in, copy the AMP ID from your Liquid wallet and enter it in your STOKR account's settings.
Register and Purchase BMN
There are several different options for acquiring the Blockstream Mining Note, however availability may vary. After signing up, you will have the option to buy a new tranche of BMN or trade with others, depending on the platform.
- STOKR
- Bitfinex Securities
- DIGTL (via MERJ)
- SideSwap (Does not require registration, but you will need your AMP ID whitelisted with STOKR)
Tip: SideSwap offers a P2P swap market for trading the BMN in denominations as low as 0.01. If you cannot find BMN availability on other platforms, this is a good place to look.
