Before setting up your Jade, you will need to download a compatible companion app on either mobile or desktop. Blockstream Green is recommended, but you are welcome to use Jade solely with your favorite supported wallet platform.
Your companion app will be used to generate receive addresses and broadcast transactions to the internet, while Jade will be used to authorize transactions and keep your private keys safe. Never enter your Jade's recovery phrase on a companion app directly.
