Blockstream Jade can scan QR codes of bitcoin addresses with its camera to verify that the address belongs to the wallet stored on your Jade. Tip: Scan will verify addresses for singlesig wallets (m/84'/0'/0'/0 and m/49'/0'/0'/0) as well as multisig wallets if you first register the config. Verify Receive Addresses 1. Unlock Blockstream Jade, ideally by accessing QR Mode, then choose QR Scan. 2. Next, point Jade's camera at a QR code of an address that you would like to verify. Once the address is recognized by Jade, choose Yes to continue. 3. Jade will then begin checking each address of your wallet beginning at index 0, in an attempt to verify if the scanned address does indeed belong to your Jade. If you know the address belongs to an index greater than 499, you may select the Skip button. This will automatically jump to the next interval of 500 addresses. 4. Most users will have their address verified fairly quickly, at which point they will be shown a message confirming the address path. If your address is not found within the first 500 addresses, Jade will display a message with this information and ask if you would like to continue checking the next 500 addresses. Note: Your address may not be verified for several reasons, which do not necessarily point towards malicious behavior. A failed validation could be due to checking the wrong path, or if your address belongs to an unusually high index. If your wallet platform displays your address index, make sure Jade has a chance to check that index before exiting.
