Users who have decided to operate Blockstream Jade with a passphrase may only want to access their passphrase-protected wallet for certain sessions, or they may want to hide the fact that they use a passphrase at all. Because of this, Jade provides you with the option of choosing when you want to be prompted to use a passphrase - instead of Jade asking this upon every log in. Specify Passphrase Entry Behavior 1. Turn on your Blockstream Jade and select Advanced from the Connect screen. 2. Select Use Passphrase from the settings menu. 3. You will then be asked when you would like to be prompted to add a passphrase when logging in. If you select Once, Jade will only prompt for a passphrase entry upon your next login. This is especially useful if you would like to hide that fact that you use a passphrase, because after Jade is rebooted there will be no indication that you have used this feature in the past. You may also select Always for convenience, if you would prefer to enter a passphrase for every session and are not concerned about making your usage of this feature obvious.
