We're retiring the legacy Electrum endpoints on blockstream.info and replacing them with new URLs. The legacy endpoints still work for now, but they will stop working on November 9, 2026\. To avoid any interruption, update your wallet or application to the new endpoints before then.

This change affects the free Electrum service only. Blockstream Explorer API Enterprise endpoints (**\*.enterprise.blockstream.info**) and the REST API are not affected.

| Network | Transport | Legacy endpoint | New endpoint |
| --------------- | --------- | -------------------- | --------------------------------------- |
| Bitcoin | TLS | blockstream.info:700 | bitcoin-mainnet.blockstream.info:50002 |
| Bitcoin | TCP | blockstream.info:110 | bitcoin-mainnet.blockstream.info:50001 |
| Bitcoin Testnet | TLS | blockstream.info:993 | bitcoin-testnet.blockstream.info:50002 |
| Bitcoin Testnet | TCP | blockstream.info:143 | bitcoin-testnet.blockstream.info:50001 |
| Liquid | TLS | blockstream.info:995 | elements-mainnet.blockstream.info:50002 |
| Liquid | TCP | blockstream.info:195 | elements-mainnet.blockstream.info:50001 |
| Liquid Testnet | TLS | blockstream.info:465 | elements-testnet.blockstream.info:50002 |
| Liquid Testnet | TCP | blockstream.info:587 | elements-testnet.blockstream.info:50001 |

## How to Migrate

1. Find the Electrum server setting in your wallet or application.
2. Replace the old host and port with the new endpoint for your network and transport from the table above: port 50002 for TLS, port 50001 for plain TCP.
3. If you use TLS, make sure SSL/TLS is enabled in your settings.
4. Reconnect and confirm your wallet syncs.

We recommend TLS. Over plain TCP, anyone on the network path can see which addresses you're querying and tamper with the responses. If you're moving from a TCP endpoint, consider switching to TLS on port 50002 at the same time.
